pitbull fifth harmonyAmerican rappers Armando Christian Perez popularly known as Pitbull or Mr. Worldwide and American girl group Fifth Harmony unite.

During the Latin American Music Awards late last month, Pitbull and Fifth Harmony debuted their Spanglish collaboration, “Por Favor,” (which means please in English) blends genres and languages.

The pop-leaning single kicks off with Pitbull’s trademark growl. “I already see mami needed TLC,” he raps. “I ain’t too proud to beg just like TLC.”

Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui, and Normani Kordei follow suit, singing infectious melodies in both Spanish and English throughout the bounce-driven production.

Latin music has experienced a rise in popularity this year with songs like Luis Fonsi's 'Despacito" (featuring Daddy Yankee) and J Balvin and Willy William's 'Mi Gente" (with Beyoncé).

The new Fifth Harmony track does not disappoint. Pitbull's fiery delivery blends nicely with Fifth Harmony's soaring, instantly singable melodies.

Pitbull is the latest rapper to join forces with Fifth Harmony, following French Montana, who recently linked up with the quartet for “He Like That (Remix).”


KimaniKenya’s Victoria Kimani recently released the official visuals for the hit single “China Love” featuring American hip-hop duo Rock City also known as R.City

The American hip-hop duo Rock City is made up of brothers Theron and Timothy Thomas, who use the stage names Uptown AP and A.I. respectively.

Victoria sings her heart out on ‘plastic’ love which blends with our thinking that ‘Made in China’ is fake and hence she needs an original love. Theron, the one half of R.City who makes a cameo on the song assures her that he knows what she likes and she needs.

This 2017 AFRIMMA Best East African Female artist has expanded her network of collaborations in Africa to sing with the likes of Diamond, Khuli Chana, Ommy Dimpoz, M.I, Phyno, Donald, Sarkodie, Bucie, and now she has scored a big one with the fast rising duo.

With over 700,000 views so far on YouTube, the track is set to rule the charts and Kenyan airwaves for a while.

The video was shot and directed by Dae Visuals and co-directed by the Kenyan diva in China.



vivianpallaso Sultry Kenyan songstress Vivian and popular Ugandan dancehall artist Pallaso have teamed up for a new joint hot sizzling single, titled Always On My Mind.

Always on my mind is a love story between two young lovers and Upbeat dancehall track set to brighten music lovers from Kenya, Uganda, East Africa, Africa and beyond as both artists seek to earn supreme.

Following the release of Chingi Changa, Vivian decided to feature Ugandan Dancehall and Afrobeat King Pallaso.

The East African duo collaboration is the second collaboration for Vivian despite doing it with the East African and Ugandan legendary superstar Jose Chameleone on her single Charm Charm.

On the other hand, this is also Pallaso's second collabo with a Kenyan songstress,he previously worked with the award winning Avril Nyambura on a song called Babie.




migoscardiminaj1The winning trio of the Migos has released a teaser video for their collaboration with No Frauds star Nicki Minaj and Bodak Yellow rapper Cardi B.

The video has been released amid lots of speculation that the two female emcees were hoping to work together.Quavo, Offset and Takeoff made the decision to debut the track onstage as part of their performance.

According to XXL Magazine , Migos performed at Powerhouse 2017 in New York City on October 26, and they took the opportunity to debut their new Culture 2 single featuring Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.

Despite rumours of intense rivalry between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, it seems the two put aside the drama to work together on this project.

The track features the signature Migos heavy trap beat, lined with easy raps. Based on the star power in this collaboration, this track could be top of the charts upon its release.

Over the weekend one third of Migos asked Cardi B to marry him.


phywezani After what seemed like ages of waiting, performing and recording artist Phylis Ng'etich alias Phy came through with some new music early this month.

The incredibly talented songbird, who established herself as a force to reckon with after winning the Maisha Superstar singing competition, released her new single dubbed Siwezani.

Siwezani, a soulful love ballad about that painful kind of unrequited love, is as moving as Phys previous release Taboo. Siwezani is her third single since her debut hip-hop banger Ruka featuring King Kaka and Khaligraph Jones.

Like her previous releases, Siwezani is earning praise and placing Phy on the list of the most talented singers in the country.

The 24 year old recently represented Kenya at the 2017 world youth and students festival that went down in Sochi,Russia.



Nameless Oh Why After a trying period overcome by illness, Nameless took some time away from the limelight.

But it seems that though he may have been down, he was never out. His latest release Oh Why is just what every Kenyan needs.

As the repeat election dominate conversations across the nation, political tensions and tribal rhetoric seem to be the running theme. The track instead asks Kenyans to pull away from the negativity and focus on the nations well being.

The track which has a simple, memorable hook carries a thought-provoking message. The strong lyrics urge all to be mindful of their neighbor and avoid propagating the hate. A legend in the Kenyan music scene, Nameless release could not have been more aptly timed.

The track that was written and performed by Nameless is accompanied by some smooth vocals provided by Lydia Ndwiga.

Former Kleptomaniax member Nyashinski previously collaborated with the Nigerian beauty on Coke Studio Africa season 4 in the live performance of Mungu Pekee. The track that saw great success is among the many tracks released by the talented rapper, who had previously been away from the spotlight for years, making his return in 2016.



king kanjaMulti-talented Kenyan artiste King Kanjathe 2017 AFRIMMA Awards nominee in the category of Crossing Boundaries With Music has released a new EP titled VIBES.

Three of the five tracks of the EP feature collaborations such as: Chris Searcys sweet R&B vocals gel with Kanjas sultry ride on Weekend; in All my Life, Kanja delivers an upbeat afro pop track produced by Silvastone.

While on Mesmerized featuring Kenyan songstress Ida Longomba is a fast paced club banger where Kanja also enlists Lovy Longomba (formerly of the Longombas).

The talented King Kanja is also the executive producer of VIBES EP and worked closely with the legendary hip hop and R&B producer Chucky Thompson, who has previously produced for the likes of Usher, NAS, P. Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Busta Rhymes, Faith Evans and The Notorious B.I.G, on two of the tracks.

King Kanja who is based in the United States,released a collaboration with popular Kenyan songstress Dela Maranga titled honey early this year.


chameleone0ct Ugandan musician and East African Legend Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone released the video for his song Superstar recently.

The song, whose audio had been released a few months ago, and which has been enjoying airplay, matched up to fans expectations.

Superstar is an Afro-pop song in which the Leone Island singer praises the girl he is prospecting for being his number one and superstar.

The tasteful video, shot by Brazilian film director, Jordan Hoechlin, features women of different shades and shapes a current trade on the various runways around the world,executing various dance moves in addition to Joses colorful laser like eyes and what appears to be a personalized lamborghini standing out during various scenes giving it a futuristic feel while maintaining a fun feel good vibe.

The video has since garnered 17000 in a week while the official audio has had 106000 views on YouTube since its release in February.
