As the countdown to his debut album kicks off, the comeback king Nyashinski presents his seventh (7th) solo single, titled #KEBS.
In Kenya, KEBS is an acronym for the Kenya Bureau of Standards. In this single, Nyashinski equates certain characters around our everyday lives to KEBS.
The lyric video was brought to life under the direction of Tonament and Sir-Nare, with visuals shot at Studio Zolani in Nairobi.
Nyanshinski goes ham on unnamed artistes and bloggers who have been circulating what he terms as fake news about him.
Among the ‘fake news’ are claims that he has a US based baby mama, that he demanded Sh1 million to appear on a TV interview and that he broke up with his Kenyan girlfriend.
Nyash, in the hit, describes himself as the gold standard of Kenyans music and compared himself to the legendary status of the late rapper E-Sir.
This single follows the successes of his previous solo singles;
Now You Know (May 2016) – 1st single / video by a Kenyan rap act to hit 1 million views on YouTube.
Mungu Pekee (Oct 2016) – 1st ever lyric video in Kenya to hit 1 million views on YouTube.
Malaika (May 2017)
Aminia (May 2017)
Hayawani (Dec 2017)
Bebi Bebi (Feb 2018)
