RECAP: Coke Studio Africa season 4: Episode 10


cokeep4Did you miss last Sunday's Coke Studio Africa special edition? Well you missed out big because this was the ultimate show, featuring international RnB superstar Trey Songz as well as your favourite African stars.

First,Kenyan rapper Nyashinski took the NaNa singer on a tour of his hometown,Nairobi aboard a Rongai matatu,chatted about Kenya's entertainment industry and even taught him afew Swahili words.

For cover 1,Ghana's finest Stonebwoy and Mozambican music powerhouse Neyma took on Trey Songz hit song heart attack and made it their own,they absolutely killed it.

Then Tanzania's Vanessa Mdee,Uganda's Remah Namakula and Ivory Coast's Serge Beynaud teamed up to perform another hit by the American singer and songwriter, Slow motion. Their voices combined in this track brought a whole new feel to this jam.

Trey Songz who made his debut almost a decade ago,also had the chance to talk to the budding artists of Sauti academy, gave them advice and listened to their dreams too.He also met up with Yemi Alade,Emtee and Lij Michael for lunch where they spoke about their different cultures.

South Africa's Emtee,Nigeria's Yemi Alade,Ivory Coast's Serge Beynaud,Uganda's Remah Namakula alongside came together to create an original song called Follow me.

Vanessa Mdee,Lij Michael, Neyma,Stonebwoy,Nyashinski and super producer Dj Maphirosa together with Trey Songz got on stage and performed an amazing masterpiece called Body to body that will surely rock the airwaves.
