Rayvanny I Love YouNovember is shaping up to be a month of great releases as we gear up for party season, and as such there are a few notable releases that you should be listening to.

The Tanzanian music titans Wasafi Crew WCB have delivered a trio of releases in just a fortnight. Despite being busy with the planning and execution of the Wasafi Festival that happened in Dar es Saalam on the 9th of November, the Wasafi crew have proved that they are the bigwigs of Bongo music.

Here are the top three releases from the Wasafi crew:

1.Diamond Platnumz- Baba Lao

Platnumz bigs himself up in the ultimate self-glorifying track ‘Baba Lao’. Putting himself on the same level as Tanzanian President Magufuli, the Makonde people and more, Chibu is not shy is singing his own praises. The 3-minute track is fastpaced, fun with the perfect rhymes for a dance-off. Trending on YouTube, it has already surpassed the 1M views mark the video-sharing platform. The track that debuted on the Wasafi Festival weekend was a strategic release, solidifying Platnumz place in the East African music scene.

2.Rayvanny – I Love You

Vanny Boy opens his heart in a sweet lovesong dubbed ‘I Love You’. The track which is slow, and chock full of harmony, see Vanny serenade his listeners reminding neigh sayers of his vocal abilities. The Tanzanian lyricist also sings in Spanish, vocalizing his deep love for what many can only assume his lover and mother of his child Fahymah. He sings, “Sura ya mama, umbo la wama…unanichanganya…sura kama Malaika”  Vanny is a true lyricist, weaving together complimentary words with ease. The Gach B production was released on 10th November and has only served to draw attention to Rayvanny’s versatility.

3.Dully Skyes feat Lava Lava – Balaa

Lava Lava is one of the most underrated artists in East Africa. He may not the biggest act out of the Wasafi Crew, but his talent is truly undeniable. Sexy, and witty, Lava Lava sings of a particular woman’s movement and her glorious body. Dully Skyes does well to add a different layer to the track, reminiscent of the T.I.D era. The track is a winner and deserves more listenership.
